Somera Road acquired Lightwell, formerly known as City Center Square, in January of 2019.  Lightwell, one of the 4 tallest buildings Kansas City, is located in the heart of Kansas City’s Central Business District at 1100 Main Street.  Somera, in partnership with, AREA and JE Dunn, is investing $16 million dollars in the complete renovation and re-positioning of the building.  The 30-story, 740,000 square feet building, was 50% occupied at the time of the purchase. Since the purchase, over 125,000 square feet has been leased to WeWork and Backlot cars.
