Tom Kennedy

EXPERTISE AND SPECIALIZATION
Tom joined AREA Real Estate Advisors in 2019 as a Vice President in the Industrial Department.  He is a licensed realtor in Kansas and Missouri and focuses on industrial properties throughout the country. Tom started his career in commercial real estate in 2016 at Colliers International, where he represented both tenant/buyers and landlord/sellers on both sale and lease transactions, and continues to do so today. Tom specializes in terminal facilities (low coverage), distribution, manufacturing, and warehousing properties throughout the Kansas City metro.

Prior to his career in commercial real estate, Tom was a CPA and worked as an auditor for KPMG directly out of school.  He worked with small private companies as well as large public companies, and he continues to utilize his accounting background today.

Tom is born and raised here in Kansas City, and he attended the University of Kansas, where he earned his bachelor and master’s degrees in accounting.  Tom is an avid golfer, loves to travel, and spend time with his family.  Tom is married to his wife, Kyle, and they have one son, Charlie.
