Josh Scott joined AREA’s Property Management team in July of 2019. He previously was with Cushman & Wakefield, where he was a part of the Project & Development Services Team. There, he was involved with over $30 million in capital and tenant improvement projects throughout the Kansas City area. He began his career as a building engineer at Cushman, where he was responsible for multiple phases of construction and commissioning of the new Ewing Marion Kauffman Charter School. Josh’s specialties include project evaluation, financial planning, architectural input and review, construction management, contract administration, feasibility studies, value engineering and client consultation.

MAJOR PROJECTS
1. Zurich Insurance: 108,000-square-foot tenant improvement project, which included the reconfiguration of workstations to create more efficient floor plan by adding new conference/ huddle rooms, hoteling stations, and improved workspaces.
2. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration: 90,000-square-foot capital and tenant improvement project, which included refresh of the interior office space, significant upgrades to the mechanical and redundancy power systems (which are integral to the mission critical operations of NOAA).
3. Cushman & Wakefield: 10,000-square-foot tenant improvement and move management project, which included a completely new build-out of Kansas City office, employee computer and workstation refresh, state-of-the-art technology package to allow maximum workplace flexibility, and custom artwork and design package.
