A new concept is coming to Town Center Plaza in Leawood, and it’s one that will add a fresh layer of energy and engagement to the shopping center.
Play Street Museum has signed a lease at 5025 W. 117th Street in Leawood and is expected to open mid-August, bringing its interactive children’s museum concept to the Kansas City market for the first time. Designed for children ages 1–8, Play Street Museum combines imaginative play, hands-on learning, and community-focused programming in an environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
The addition is a natural complement to Town Center Plaza’s strong mix of retail, dining, and service-oriented tenants. As families spend more time at the center, Play Street Museum creates another reason to visit, extending visits and adding a new experiential component to the property.
More than just a tenant, Play Street Museum represents the type of experience-driven concept that continues to shape today’s most successful shopping destinations. By creating a place where children can play, learn, and engage, the concept enhances Town Center Plaza’s appeal as a destination for families throughout the Kansas City Metro.
