Bill Shackelford joined AREA Real Estate Advisors in 2002.  He is a lifetime Kansas City area resident with over 20 years in the commercial real estate industry.  Bill is involved in numerous facets of the commercial real estate industry including:  development, leasing, sales, tenant representation, site selection (local and national) and investment analysis.  Bill’s straight forward and honest approach has gained him respect within the real estate community.

Bill has represented many national, regional and local Landlords during his real estate career and worked extensively for 4 years on the re-development of Ward Parkway Center (550,000 SF) in Kansas City, Missouri.  Currently Bill is assisting a developer seeking sites for hospitals with 8 locations under contract and negotiating on an additional two sites.  All sites are located in Johnson County, Kansas.

Over the years, Bill has represented the following national tenants:
Advance America, Card$mart, O.H. Gerry Optical, Payless ShoeSource (Collective Brands), Rent-A-Center, Raving Brands, Subway, Wireless Vision (T-Mobile) and US Beef Corporation (Arby’s) as well as many other regional and local retailers.
