ULAH & Blue Sushi open at Woodside Village

Blue Sushi & UlahPhase 1 at Woodside Village is down to the landscaping, and we are pleased to announce the openings of ULAH and Blue Sushi Sake Grill.

ULAH (pronounced as yew-luh), started by Joey Mendez (formerly a buyer for Hall’s Mens Department) and Buck Wimberly (former Brands Strategist at Hallmark), is a men’s apparel and lifestyle store.  The goal of ULAH is to make high style and good design more accessible and relevant to men’s everyday life.We want it to be a comfortable hangout and bring the social aspect back to shopping,” Mendez said. You can expect to see many dimensions of a man’s life in ULAH with their apparel, accessories, essentials, gifts, and masculine home décor products.  For more information, check out their website at ulahkc.com.

Along with ULAH, Blue Sushi Sake Grill is now open and serving up business.  This is Blue’s first location in the Kansas City market.  The concept was founded in Omaha in 2002 with eight other locations in Nebraska, Colorado and Texas.

Blue offers a flavorful menu with a unique mix of sushi, sashimi, nigiri options, Asian-inspired appetizers, soup, salads and entrees.  They follow a traditional Japanese style by serving its dishes in the center of the table and are meant to be shared.   A few must tries are Yellowtail Serrano, Hotel Cali, Crunchy Blue, Lion King, Spicy Tekka and the Spider Maki.  From the grill menu, you can’t go wrong with the mango crab rangoon, pork gyozas, tuna tower, lettuce wraps and chicken satay.  While they are known for their sake, make sure to also try one (or two) of their signature cocktails. The bluetini, coconut mojito, and sangria never disappoint!  Lastly, if your sweet tooth is calling your name, don’t leave without trying the fried ice cream.  To see more of Blue’s menu & hours, visit their website at bluesushisakegrill.com.

Other tenants announced for Woodside Village include: Shelby Herrick Salon, The Roasterie and Eat Fit Go.  There are currently two spaces available.  For more information, contact Tiffany Ruzicka.
