Phil Taggart

Phil Taggart joined AREA Real Estate Advisors as Operations Manager and Senior Project Manager for the Property Management team in 2017.  Phil has eight years of Facilities Management involvement and over thirty years of experience in Operations and Project Management.

Prior to joining AREA, Phil retired from the United States Marine Corps as a Colonel and subsequently worked in Business Development for Dyncorp International.  His USMC career was in armor, supply and logistics with thirty-three years combined active/reserve duty which included five mobilizations for deployments to Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan.  Phil was the Commander of the Defense Logistics Agency Support Team- Afghanistan just prior to his retirement.

Phil has experience in facilities management, purchasing, contracting, budgeting, cost accounting and commercial real estate management. In addition to assisting with property management, Phil is responsible for overseeing AREA’s accounting group and administering AREA’s accounting and work management software.   Phil has extensive experience in developing procedural standards.  Phil is actively involved with business development and expanding AREA’s management portfolio.  Phil also performs project and construction management on specific AREA projects.

Phil has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science and History from Jacksonville University and a Master of Business Administration from Rockhurst University.
